INGREDIENTS: Serves 1
5g all-purpose flour
10ml corn oil, for pan frying
180g sirloin Wagyu beef steak, cleaned, cut into strips
30ml non-alcoholic mirin (for a home-made substitute for Japenese mirin, mix 3 tsp sugar with 30ml rice vinegar)
30ml kikkoman soy sauce
20g sugar
Pepper, to taste
50g iceberg lettuce
1 piece each, boiled baby corn and sliced asparagus
2 boiled carrot slices
Method:

Method:
- Spread flour on a flat work tray and coat beef pieces with it. Heat oil on a skillet, then pan-fry beef until browned and the juices evaporate.
- Meanwhile in a bowl, mix together mirin, soy sauce, sugar and pepper and add to the cooked beef.Cook beef in this sauce until the sauce boils and thickens.
- Serve beef teriyaki with lettuce, baby corn, asparagus and carrot on the side.
