MINCED MEAT

INGREDIENTS:

500g  minced beef
300g  fresh green peas
150g  onion chopped
4  cloves garlic chopped
250ml  demiglace
2  bay leaves
50g  butter
5g oregano
200g  mashed potato
Salt and pepper to taste

Method:
  • Heat butter in a pan and sauce garlic, onion and bay leaves in it. Add minced meat and saute well until the meat gets cooked and all the water evaporates.
  • Add green peas, oregano and demiglace and cook until the mixture is thick. Check for seasoning and remove from fire. Spoon the mixture into a pie dish and spread the mashed potato on top.
  • Spread little butter and bake it in an oven at 350F for 15-20 minutes until the top becomes golden brown.
Note: Serve with French bread.
